Who we are

Savannah Ellis is an independent licensed life insurance agent with Ellis Protection Agency, National Producer Number 21700163. We are not an insurance company and we are not a mortgage lender. Policies are issued and claims are paid by the insurance carrier named in your contract. Ellis Protection Agency works with carriers through its marketing organization, Founders Financial Group.

Not your lender, not a government program

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of your mortgage lender or servicer, any government agency, HUD, FHA, the Department of Veterans Affairs, or any state program. Mortgage protection insurance is optional and is never required to keep your home loan.

What mortgage protection is

Mortgage protection is life insurance, usually term life, with a benefit amount chosen to match a home loan. The benefit is paid to the beneficiaries you name, not to your lender. Your beneficiaries decide how to use it, including whether to pay off the mortgage.

How we are paid

You pay us nothing. Quotes and comparisons are free. If you decide to take a policy, the insurance carrier pays a commission, which is already built into the premium the carrier files with your state and is not added on top of it.

Where we are licensed

We can only sell insurance in states where we hold an active license. As of the date above that is: Alabama, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington. You can verify any agent's license through NIPR or your state insurance department.

About the products

Products, features, riders, benefit amounts and rates vary by carrier and by state and are not available in every state. All coverage is subject to underwriting approval and to the terms, conditions, limitations and exclusions of the policy as issued. Living benefit and return of premium features are offered on some plans only, differ by carrier, and carry their own qualifying conditions.

Rates and illustrations

The “What happens to the house” tool on this site is an illustration, not a quote, an offer or a guarantee. Your own rate depends on your age, sex, health, tobacco use, state, the amount and length of coverage, and the carrier that approves you.
